Eric Rosenthal (@ericsports) and I discuss the storylines that defined the regular season, cover what we are most excited for in Round 1 and project forward to the NBA finals and what this season could mean when we look back.
I am joined by award-winning writer Jason Sobel, as we discuss his new home at The Action Network and talk all things The Masters. We go through favorites, longshots and get into DFS lineups. We also take stock of how Jason sees the week going for some key players and Jason gives us his pick to win. Check out Jason’s work and follow him on Twitter @JasonSobelTAN
Talking fantasy baseball and what to watch for in each division
Jon Butler, from Six Man Rotation, joins me to go through each division in baseball and talk about what we can’t wait to watch. We also talk about the appeal of fantasy baseball, the elite teams we see dominating and the interesting middle ground between contending and tanking that many teams will be dealing with. We end on some predictions, but are most excited for baseball season just to be here. Enjoy!
Taking stock of the remaining field including a closer look at Texas Tech
I talk with @Mr_AlbieShore from Texas Tech’s SB Nation community, Viva the Matadors. We re-seed the sweet 16, looking at each team’s strengths and weaknesses, and then take a closer look at this Red Raiders’ squad. A fun conversation perfect for Texas Tech fans and fun for anyone following March Madness!
Upsets, Value picks, Final Four projections and more
You’re 40 minutes from winning your bracket pool! Kendall Kaut (@kkaut), a contributor to the SB Nation Blog Our Daily Bears, calls in to share the gospel of KenPom and help you fill out your bracket. We dive into fun early round matchups, make our Final Four picks and go through Championship possibilities. This pod should leave you well informed heading into Thursday’s Madness.
Baylor fans…stick around for some Bears talk at the tail end of the pod (44 minute mark).
Champ Week is here and conference tournaments are about to be in full swing. In a bit of a bracket warm up, here are my predictions for six conference tournaments. Michigan already wrapped up the Big Ten, so I am predicting the other four Power 5 conferences along with the Big East and the American (my apologies to the A-10).
These picks may fall apart by the weekend, but that’s a perfect appetizer for the Madness that lies ahead…
